HELP!!
Ok so can my fellow MK3 owners mechanics anyone who knows how to fix one period help me out? Well my MK3 Gti ABA 2.0 has been broken down for the past few months and have no idea what it is people have told me its the catalytic converter limp mode bad timing or clutch but i have no idea i picked it up for $380 last summer timing belt shot but replaced had to buy new spark plug wires and while i was at it i bought new spark plugs distributor cap distributor rotor and well this is the problem i turned it over idled good but died a couple times when i just did the timing belt change and out of nowhere you start smelling rotten egg and was told the cat was bad so i left it like that for a couple months until i got a job and some cash and just today i went to have one installed my uncle gave me one he had lying around said it wasnt clogged and had it welded on today and after the block i drove the rotten egg smell came back and the car had little power like last time For example i try to take off at 4k rpms and the gar goes down straight to 1k rpms struggling to take off and then still after that it takes the car the longest time ever to even go the 20mph speed limit on my block so can someone who lives in denver check it out or someone message me and tell me what my problem is? thank you very much
